From June 5 through June 9 from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Paint Out Week takes over Zoo Atlanta. This annual event brings all kinds of artists and their works to the zoo, so visitors can admire beautiful artwork while they walk through the zoo.

Artists will create their art outdoors on the zoo grounds by using the exotic and inspiring animals and botanicals of the Zoo as their muses. While you're at the zoo, you can watch as artists create their paintings in real time while also learning about the zoo's many animals.

Take in Some Live Music at the Atlanta Jazz Festival May 26th – 28th

Thousands of Atlanta music lovers will flock to Piedmont Park for the annual Atlanta Jazz Festival from May 26th through May 28th. The event is one of the country’s largest free jazz festivals and will feature three different stages: Legends, Contemporary, and Next Gen.

The Legends Stage is made up of artists who were instrumental to jazz’s roots, such as Regina Carter, Charles Lloyd, and Freddy Cole. The Contemporary Stage will include artists who mix various genres with jazz, such as Moonchild and Macy Gray. The Next Gen Stage will feature new up-and-coming musicians working to bring jazz to a new generation.

In addition to the live music, you can also explore the park and visit various arts and crafts vendors, food stands, and merchandise for sale. Admission to the event is free and open to the public. Enjoy the festivities Friday 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
