Enjoy Asian Street Food at Ah-Ma’s Taiwanese Kitchen

Ah-Ma’s Taiwanese Kitchen is a bustling eatery inspired by the street food from the night markets of Taiwan and traditional Taiwanese comfort food. Owned by Shane Chen and sons Alex and Andy, the restaurant pays homage to the Chen family’s deep roots – Ah-Ma means “grandmother” in Taiwanese and many of the recipes are hers. The menu consists of small plates, soups, handmade bao, and large plates. Try the Beef Noodle Soup, a classic Taiwanese comfort dish, which consists of slow-cooked local grass-fed beef, wheat noodles, pickled mustard greens, scallions, and bok choy in a rich broth.

The restaurant has large windows for natural light, bright red walls, and a painted mural of the flowering Ume blossoms, which are the national flower of Taiwan. The 30+ seat dining room includes a collection of small and large tables and booths. Ah-Ma’s Taiwanese Kitchen is conveniently located in Promenade Plaza in Midtown with an ample amount of parking.
