Enjoy Pies Made With House-Made Dough at Antico Pizza

Antico Pizza sits on the corner of Hemphill Avenue and Ethel Street in a building that looks more like a warehouse than a destination restaurant, but stop by at dinner time on any Friday or Saturday, and you’ll find that this is one of the most popular pizzerias in the area.

Yelpers say their favorites include the San Gennaro, which is topped with sausage, peppers and red sauce, and the Verdure, which features broccoli rabe, mushroom and garlic on a white pizza. The atmosphere here is casual and laid back, thanks to long picnic-table seating and rolls of paper towels that serve as napkins. The kitchen here only makes so much dough each day, and when it runs out the staff closes up shop, so be sure to stop by early!
