Spend the Day at Lullwater Park

Lullwater Park is an oasis in the city that boasts acres of green space, walking and jogging trails, and the home of Emory University's president. Spend the entire day at the park fishing at Candler Lake, walking across the 210-foot suspension bridge, exploring the ruins of a 1920s powerhouse, and meeting the resident mammals, reptiles, and birds. Take the Lake Loop for a mile long stroll around the lake and past beautiful mini waterfalls or try out the President’s Loop, which circles around the impressive mansion.

Locals love coming to Lullwater Park mostly because it is a secluded and quiet escape from the city. The 154-acre preserve is free and open to the public, and it is also bike and dog friendly. For easy parking, use the small parking area at Hahn Woods and take the Yerkes Trail over to Lullwater.

The park is open daily sunrise to sunset.
